The focus of the Spring Valley Baptist Music and Worship ministry is to use music and other creative expressions to facilitate worship so that all generations of God’s disciples can bring Him glory through song and so that others can come to know Him as well.
We prioritize the Word of Christ dwelling in us richly through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. We sing time-tested songs that convey deep truth as well as new, fresh songs that convey connection. We aim to make the familiar fresh and the fresh familiar.
Serve through music and technology
The Music and Worship Ministry provides a wide range of opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and skill sets to worship Jesus by serving through music and technology.
Worship Choir and Praise Team
Groups like the Worship Choir and Praise Team (instrumentalists and vocalists) lead Sunday morning worship, while Valley Voices, one of the largest senior adult choirs in South Carolina, extends ministry into the community through singing at nursing homes, schools, and civic organizations. Additional ensembles, including Ladies Rejoice and God’s Men, as well as instrumental groups like the Patriotic Orchestra and other small groups, provide even more opportunities to serve through music both on campus and beyond.
Sound & Light Techology Team
This team plays a vital role in supporting worship and outreach through audio, lighting, graphics, and streaming. No matter your gifting, the Music and Worship Ministry offers a place to use your talents to serve the church and impact the community
