Our class “semesters” are seven weeks long. Click the + to expand for a description of each class and the link to register.

  • Have you ever walked out of the worship service with a real desire to continue delving into what you heard or read? If so, you can join others in mining treasures from the previous Sunday’s sermon and biblical text. What a great way to “abide” in Christ by deepening our understanding of His Word and becoming “iron sharpening iron” to each other (Proverbs 27:17). We’ll discuss questions arising from the sermon, transformative ways to apply the principles, examples of “how now to live,” and more. Each session is stand-alone, so it accommodates those with a busy schedule.

This class on Ephesians is a fusion of where faith and reality intersect, reminding us that “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world.” (Ephesians 1:3) This seven-week study will address the challenging moments for people of all ages by focusing on how we walk in love, partner with our spouse, rear our children; all the while surrendering to God’s eternal purpose for our lives through grace.

This study will examine Christian writers, thinkers, and leaders, like C.S. Lewis, Lottie Moon, Corrie Ten Boom, and Charles Spurgeon, who through their own personal journeys serve as “a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us.” (Hebrews 12:1)

The study is into 4 stand-alone semesters, and the first will focus on the writings and influence of C.S. Lewis. Selections from the authors theological pieces will be discussed. “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” (C.S. Lewis) Come join us for The Cloud as we recount the practice of those who have gone before us seeking this infinite importance.

The Bible reveals the truth about God. His Word contains passages that are challenging to interpret and fully understand. In this class, we will examine “Hard Sayings” and select a few that you might find challenging as well. The aim is to search into what God is teaching us about Himself. Jesus emphasized in Mark 12:30 the importance of loving the Lord with all aspects of our being – heart, soul, mind, and strength. Come join us as we open the Bible, engage our minds, and see how God transform our lives through seeking to understand His Word.
